Dont think of brake repair as the end of the world; its really just one component of a regular car maintenance program. Calipers and wheel cylinders can be adversely affected by contaminated fluid. Metal on metal parts should be kept adequately lubricated to maintain an effective barrier between them. Do not let your technician top your brake fluid off, however.
