It used to be that domainers, people who bought huge amounts of domain names and made a few dollars per domain, could make money with this mass-buying strategy. But this is less-and-less the case given the way the Internet is evolving. Parking domains is not longer as profitable as it was due to changes in the search engine algorithms.
So domainers need to change their strategy, and this has been a difficult transition. Specifically, they need to be looking at search engine optimization techniques to figure out how to put their domain names to work for them. While the SEO industry and domain name buying have traditionally been very different, my guess is that you will see more search engine optimization talk among the domainer community.
